How do I submit my manifesto?

Once you have submitted your nomination you have the option to upload your manifesto. For guidance on writing your manifesto visit the writing an effective manifesto article. Follow the steps below to submit your manifesto.

Step 1: Go to the eVoting platform

This will take you to eVoting, the Union’s online election platform.

Step 2: Login

Log in using your College login e.g. kthack15

Once logged in, the landing page will appear with a link to all elections you are eligible to participate in.

Step 3: Select an election

Click on the link for the election you wish to participate in.

Once, selected a new page will appear with a series of headings relating to what actions you can perform as a candidate.

Step 4: Manage my manifesto

Under the ‘Manage my Manifesto’ heading, using the drop-down list, select the position you wish to submit a manifesto for and click the blue 'Manifesto' button.

Only the positions you have nominated yourself for will appear in this list.

This will take you to a new page where you can submit your manifesto.

Step 5: Write your manifesto

Complete the text box with your written manifesto.

Tip: we’d recommend writing your manifesto in Microsoft Word or another application before copying and pasting the text here

Step 6: Choose a photo

Select the ‘choose file’ button to upload a photo of yourself to accompany your manifesto.

This will be displayed in the virtual ‘voting booth’ alongside the other candidates in the election for voters to see when they cast their vote.

Tip: choose a photo that represents you as a candidate. We’d recommend a clear photo of yourself without others in the frame. A simple background with good lighting is best.

Step 7: Save your manifesto

Select the ‘Save Updates’ button to save your manifesto and photo.

The page should refresh at this point to show your written manifesto and the photo you uploaded.

Tip: you can edit your manifesto and photo right up until the manifesto submission deadline
